Maggie and Alex’s wedding at Hummingbird Nest Ranch

Maggie and Alex’s wedding at Hummingbird Nest Ranch in Santa Susana, California was a full-day celebration photographed on film and digital with a documentary, photojournalistic approach. Set against the venue’s iconic Spanish-style villa, olive groves, and fountains, the day balanced timeless tradition with an effortlessly fun, party-forward energy.

From the ceremony through golden-hour portraits and into the reception, I focused on capturing what it felt like, real emotion, natural movement, and the in-between moments that happen when you’re fully present. The night ended exactly the way it should: a packed dance floor under the stars and a late-night pizza truck keeping the celebration going.
